Why choose a sit-stand desk?

A good sit-stand desk offers many benefits, especially if you work long hours at a desk, whether at home or in the office. With the push of a button, you can easily switch between sitting and standing positions. Our sit-stand desks are fully adjustable to your ideal working height, making them perfect for anyone looking to regularly change positions and adopt a healthier work style. By alternating between sitting and standing, you reduce the strain on your back, shoulders, and neck. This also promotes better blood circulation, which reduces fatigue and improves productivity and focus throughout the day—ideal for a long workday. Research has shown that the ideal daily breakdown is 6 hours of sitting, 5 hours and 10 minutes of standing, 8 hours and 20 minutes of sleep, and the remaining 4 hours and 20 minutes for light physical activities (such as cooking or vacuuming) and moderate to intensive activities (such as a gym workout or brisk walk). In addition to alternating between sitting and standing, regular movement is essential. Stand up more often, whether at home or in the office, and take a short walk down the hallway. Use the stairs instead of the elevator, and make the most of breaks to get outside.

The ergonomic workspace that moves with you

The Netherlands holds the title of Europe’s sitting champion, with sitting time increasing over the years. All of our sit-stand desks are designed to keep your body active, your mind sharp, and your workday dynamic. Electric adjustable desks are becoming increasingly popular, and for good reason. For good health, alternating between sitting and standing, along with regular movement, is essential. It promotes better blood circulation and helps prevent arm, neck, and shoulder strain. At Office-Interior, we offer a wide selection of height-adjustable desks. Our electric sit-stand desks come standard with a control panel featuring a memory function. This allows you to easily set and save your ideal sitting and standing heights, so you can switch with a single button press each time. This is especially convenient in shared workspaces used by multiple people. With this smart feature, you can ensure that your workspace is always ergonomically set up, no matter who uses the electric sit-stand desk. In addition to our electric sit-stand desks, we also offer crank desks and other height-adjustable desks in our collection. Want to contribute to a more sustainable society? Then check out our refurbished desks.

Our electric sit-stand desks meet all requirements.

We offer a range of sit-stand desks in our collection, perfect for creating an ergonomic workspace at home or in the office. For certain tasks, a desk must comply with NEN-EN 527 standards. With Office-Interior's Aero sit-stand desk, you meet these standards thanks to its extra height of up to 130 centimeters, compared to other desks that reach a maximum height of 117 centimeters. Additionally, the Aero sit-stand desk has a load capacity of 150 kg, while our most popular desk, the Fuse, can support up to 100 kg. With a 25 mm thick tabletop, these desks are exceptionally sturdy and stable, even at maximum height. The 4 different memory settings allow you to easily switch to the optimal working posture. The sit-stand desks also come standard with an anti-collision feature, providing added safety when the desk moves downward. If something (such as a chair) is accidentally underneath while lowering, the desk automatically stops, ensuring safety and preventing damage.

How do you set up your sit-stand desk optimally?

A well-adjusted sit-stand desk can make all the difference for your comfort and productivity. In addition to the correct sitting height, the right standing height is also important. Follow these simple steps to ensure your desk is always at the right height and you maintain a better working posture:

Sitting work: Ensure that your arms form a 90-degree angle and that your feet are flat on the floor. For more information on the ideal sitting height and proper sitting posture, read here.

Standing work: Keep your desk at elbow height and make sure your screen is at eye level to prevent neck strain. The ideal height will vary for everyone.

Alternating: We recommend switching between sitting and standing every 60 minutes to keep your muscles active and reduce fatigue. Fortunately, our electrically adjustable desks are quick and easy to adjust to any desired height.
